Goosey Fibers was an inkling of an idea at the beginning of 2016.
I thought I could feed my knitting habit with any colors I wanted and not blow the family budget. I thought it would help my hobby along and allow me to stay at home with our son, the eponymous Goosey.
Turns out, I enjoyed dying yarn more than I ever imagined, and decided to turn it into a business.
Now we're a small mom n' pop operation, hand-dying high-quality yarns with professional washfast and lightfast dyes. We are inspired by pop culture and the environment around us. We also run Goosey Fibers to be as environmentally conscious as possible. All packing material is made of 100% recycled plastic and is reusable; we re-use dye water until it's absorbed, and use food grade citric acid, so there is no harm to the environment. Fun fact: our spent pots of citric water are often used as a poison ivy deterrent!
We are animal and environment advocates, often donating proceeds to The National Park Foundation, as well as animal rescue organizations.
Most often, you can find us at home, playing board games, or out riding our bikes on the great trails through this state. We're so happy to meet you!
